everal MDEC employees recently had the opportunity to attend the 3rd Annual Snead State Gala Feud for Funds, an event hosted by the Snead State Community College Foundation to raise money for student scholarships. The evening brought together local businesses, community leaders, and supporters for a fun and meaningful cause.
Four local businesses participated in a Family Feud-style competition after sponsoring the event. Questions used during the game were based on answers collected from 100 Snead State students, which added plenty of excitement and laughs throughout the night. While MDEC did not take home the championship title, we were proud to participate and support such an important mission in our community.
One of the most impactful parts of the evening came from hearing testimonies from students who have received scholarships through the foundation. Several students shared how those scholarships changed their lives and made it possible for them to continue their education. For many, attending college may not have been an option without the generosity of donors and supporters.
MDEC is honored to support events like Gala Feud for Funds that invest in the future of local students and strengthen our community. We encourage others to begin planning now and include support for next year’s event in their budgets as the Snead State Community College Foundation prepares for the 4th Annual Gala Feud for Funds.
