At Marshall DeKalb Electric Cooperative (MDEC), we are deeply committed to serving our members and making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Through volunteering with local charities and participating in community events, we strive to support those in need and help create positive change. We are actively engaged with schools within our service area, working to inspire students and support their future success by awarding scholarships. Our dedication also extends to promoting safe electrical practices and energy efficiency. Whether through educational presentations, public outreach, or policy engagement, we aim to keep our members, schools, and community leaders well-informed. In partnership with the Electric Foundation, MDEC proudly awards a $1,000 scholarship to each school in our service area, along with an additional $1,000 scholarship to an at-large recipient. We are honored to recognize this year’s scholarship recipients.
